The year is 1985.... an entrepreneur with great foresight sets up a trading business in a small one room office by the name of D G traders for dealing in binding wires widely used in construction industry to bind steel pillars. Winning the buyers' confidence through ethical business dealings, the company soon became the preferred supplier to a host of construction and realty companies. What was started by Shri Dudhnath Girdhari Shukla then has today blossomed into a fast growing, highly respected group of entities engaged in Property development, transportation, construction material and manpower supplies. The journey of this street-smart businessman from a small village called Kunwar Patti near Prayagraj in UP has been one of sheer grit, hard work and perseverance. Being orphaned when a child, Dudhnathji was raised by his elder sister in Mumbai and married at a young age. With humility and ethics ingrained in him-traits that have been passed onto his sons - Dudhnathji diversified into the transportation sector in 1992 by setting up DGS Transports with a single truck that soon commanded to a fleet of 40. In 1996, he motivated his elder sons Surajdev and Brahmdev to successfully venture into trading in river sand, metal stones and bricks. Less than a decade later, the group had added steel, cement and labour supplies to its portfolio. With substantial understanding of the building and construction sector, the group further integrated into Property Development in 2009 through redevelopment of projects mainly in Mumbai Metropolitan Region under its flagship company DGS Group Builders & Developers. The business got a further fillip when the younger sons Ishwardev and Indradev joined and infused young blood with focused evolution incorporating new-age technologies. DGS Group currently has a formidable portfolio of commercial, residential, industrial and retail spaces under its belt.
